Patient guide
We want you to feel prepared and at ease. Here\'s exactly what to expect when you come in for the first time.
Be prepared
X-rays, MRI, CT scans, or ultrasound reports related to your condition.
We use HalTH software for on-the-spot private health claiming. Please bring both your payment card and your private health insurance card.
Wear or bring clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated (e.g. shorts for lower back/hip, singlet for shoulder).
A note of any current medications, supplements, or relevant medical history.
Step by step
You'll be greeted by our reception team and asked to complete a brief intake form covering your health history, current symptoms, and goals. This helps your practitioner prepare before they see you.
Your practitioner will sit with you and ask detailed questions about your symptoms — when they started, what makes them better or worse, how they affect your daily life, and what you're hoping to achieve from treatment.
A hands-on assessment including postural analysis, movement testing, strength and flexibility assessment, and palpation of the affected area. For chiropractic and physiotherapy, this may also include neurological testing.
Your practitioner will explain what they found in plain language — what is causing your symptoms, why, and what the treatment plan will involve. We encourage questions at this stage.
Your first hands-on treatment. This may include spinal adjustment, manual therapy, soft tissue work, dry needling, exercise instruction, or a combination — depending on your presentation and the service you've booked.
You'll leave with a clear understanding of your diagnosis, a recommended treatment plan, and any home exercises or advice to support your recovery between visits.
By service
You may hear a "popping" sound during spinal adjustments — this is normal and not painful for most people.
Wear comfortable clothing. You may be asked to perform movement tests and exercises during the session.
Some post-treatment soreness for 24–48 hours is normal, especially after dry needling.
Wear exercise-appropriate clothing and footwear. Bring a water bottle.
